On Wednesday, Nov. 6, the students of WSU 102 “Innovations of WWII” met World War II veteran Richard Martin in the Ablah Library C-Space.
- Martin was a bombardier on a Boeing B-29 bomber over Japan in the last year of the war. After the war, he and his crew dropped supplies for Allied POWs in Japanese prison camps across east Asia.
- Martin is now the last living member of his squadron. As a career accountant, he still does his own taxes at 94 years old.
